Jumping Ship: Why I’m Leaving Amazon KDP

I know, the title sounds a bit dramatic. But after careful consideration, I’ve decided to part ways with Amazon KDP, and I want to take this opportunity to humbly explain why—first from a reader’s perspective, then from an author’s perspective. Please keep in mind that I have no hate toward Amazon as a whole (I personally love Amazon!); it's just that their practices when it comes to Amazon KDP as of late don't sit well with me.

Ellie dropped her mask on the ground and fell to her knees, crying as her other three friends came running up behind her. They stopped when they saw the blood on the road and a car that had swerved off the road and into a ditch. They were out of sight of the scene of the accident. Ellie didn’t know how far things were going to go. The last thing she wanted to see was the flashing red and blue lights.
