Ellie dropped her mask on the ground and fell to her knees, crying as her other three friends came running up behind her. They stopped when they saw the blood on the road and a car that had swerved off the road and into a ditch. They were out of sight of the scene of the accident. Ellie didn’t know how far things were going to go. The last thing she wanted to see was the flashing red and blue lights.

“So, Ellie, is Melany coming over for sure?” Matthew asked, looking at Ellie through his hazel eyes.

“Yes, she’s coming over.” Ellie answered, looking up at him, and she rolled her brown eyes toward the ceiling. She felt short when she stood next to him; he was six foot one, and Ellie was five foot four.

“You’re driving because you know the area better. And by the way, I call front seat.” Ellie said. Jayden then looked at Jallian.

“You’re sitting between me and Melany.” Jayden said as she tried to be serious, but she ended up laughing anyway.

“Okay, but you’re sitting in the middle on the way back.” Jallian said, trying to hold back a grin, but it wasn’t working.

“Oh, hell no,” Jayden said, and just then Ellie’s phone went off and she looked at her phone.

“Melany’s here. You all know she’s really okay, but we all know she can be a bit… well…” Ellie paused, trying to find the right word.

“Cray-cray…?” Jayden said as she looked at Ellie.
